The Ergobaby Adapt baby carrier can be used with your newborn meeting the minimum weight and height requirements, in the front carry position facing you. Your newborn baby must weigh 7 lbs minimum (3.2 kg) and be at least 20 inches tall (50.8 cm).

Yes, the Adapt has a hood tucked in a small pocket undernearth the head and neck pillow. When in use, it provides protection from the wind and sun, privacy for nursing baby, and a shade for sleeping baby.

The Adapt baby carrier has three positions you can use to carry baby: 1. Front Carry Inward Facing 2. Hip Carry 3. Super cute carrier and super easy. I love how adjustable it is to my changing postpartum body and how it’s adjusting to my baby. The hood is a lifesaver to keep baby out of the sun. My baby seems to enjoy it, I feel good knowing she’s supported and I have more freedom.
